About Eatquilibrium

Eatquilibrium is a growing, insurance-based private nutrition practice based in North Carolina providing personalized nutrition counseling and medical nutrition therapy to individuals with a wide range of health goals and conditions.

Our mission is simple: to provide a balanced, sustainable approach to nutrition. We help a wide range of clients move from frustration and confusion to feeling confident, empowered, and energized in their health.

As a fully virtual practice, we make care accessible while delivering high-quality, individualized support through one-on-one counseling, with plans to expand into corporate wellness, workshops, and group programming.

Position Overview

We’re looking for a passionate, adaptable Registered Dietitian to join our practice as our first hire - a unique opportunity to grow alongside the business and play a key role in shaping its future.

This is a W2 position with a structured weekday schedule (must be available to work at least two days during business hours Monday-Friday, 9 AM-5 PM). You’ll start with a lighter caseload with the option to gradually build toward a full-time schedule (~25-30 client sessions/week) over approximately 6-9 months as referrals grow.

This role is ideal for someone who:
  • Enjoys working with a wide variety of clients and conditions
  • Is confident practicing independently in a virtual setting
  • Is excited by the energy and flexibility of an early-stage group practice
  • Is interested in potential future growth into leadership or program development

We handle insurance, billing, scheduling infrastructure, and marketing, so you can focus on client care.

    What You’ll Do
  • Provide individualized nutrition assessments and counseling via telehealth
  • Develop personalized, evidence-based care plans across a diverse client population (chronic conditions, general wellness, weight management, etc.)
  • Build strong client relationships to support retention and long-term success
  • Complete timely documentation in a HIPAA-compliant EMR (PracticeQ)
  • Communicate with clients between sessions as needed
  • Contribute to practice growth through business development, ideas, resources, or optional initiatives (e.g., social media, blog content, workshops, or events as the practice expands)
    What You Bring
  • Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) - CDR Certified
  • Licensed (or eligible for licensure) in North Carolina (Multi-state licensure is a plus)
  • Outpatient or private practice experience preferred
  • Ability to confidently support a broad range of client needs
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Organized, reliable, and self-directed in a remote work environment
  • A growth mindset, curiosity, and desire to be part of building something
    Compensation & Structure
  • Client-facing rate: $40-55/hour (based on experience)
  • Admin rate: $20-25/hour
This is a session-based compensation model, where:
  • You are paid for completed client sessions, including sessions where a late cancellation or no-show fee is collected. Charting time is factored into hourly client-facing rate.
  • Additional administrative or project-based work (e.g., content creation, events) may be available as the practice grows.

This structure is designed to reward both clinical work and efficiency while aligning with practice performance.

As a growing practice, benefits are not currently included with this role at this time.

    Why Join Eatquilibrium
  • Collaborative environment with opportunities to help shape the future of the practice
  • Opportunity for career growth into leadership or management roles as we expand
  • No admin burden - credentialing/insurance, billing, and operations are handled for you
  • Work in a supportive, low-bureaucracy environment with autonomy and flexibility
  • Be part of a practice that values balanced, realistic nutrition approaches
