  • *Primary Responsibilities**

As a Data Entry Specialist, you will be responsible for the following key tasks:

### Data Entry and Management

  • Accurately enter client- and service-level data into internal databases and DPH reporting systems in a timely manner.
  • Upload required data files to secure state servers per program deadlines.
  • Conduct regular audits of data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.

### Data Quality Assurance

  • Review and resolve discrepancies or missing data in collaboration with program staff.
  • Monitor data for trends that may indicate systemic errors or workflow breakdowns.
  • Follow protocols for safeguarding sensitive client data in compliance with HIPAA and internal privacy policies.

### Staff Support and Training

  • Assist with documenting and maintaining data entry workflows.
  • Provide training and technical assistance to program staff on data entry procedures and systems.
  • Support onboarding of new staff by delivering data systems orientation, as needed.

### Meets Agency Participatory Expectations

  • Adheres to all agency and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Participates in quality assessment and improvement activities as requested.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., public health, health education, data management) preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in data entry, data management, or a related field.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Familiarity with data management systems and software (e.g., EHRs, CRM).
