We are seeking a highly motivated and empathetic Customer Service Guide (Human Services Specialist 1) to join our Self-Sufficiency Program (SSP) team at careerzynith. As a key member of our team, you will provide specialized assistance to individuals and families seeking services, including food benefits, cash assistance, childcare assistance, and more. You will work collaboratively with a diverse team to create a safe and supportive environment that values diversity and inclusivity.
- *Responsibilities**
As a Customer Service Guide (Human Services Specialist 1) at careerzynith, you will be responsible for:
- Providing exceptional customer service and support to individuals and families seeking services, including food benefits, cash assistance, childcare assistance, and more.
- Serving as the first point of contact for customers, either in-person, by phone, or through our online applicant portal.
- Offering information and referrals to community resources, and assisting with case status and other inquiries.
- Working collaboratively with program staff to provide a safety net and promote family stability.
- Contributing to a trauma-informed and culturally responsive work environment that values diversity and inclusivity.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide customer service and support to individuals and families seeking services, including food benefits, cash assistance, childcare assistance, and more.

- *Requirements**
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Two years of experience in customer service or a related field, with a high volume of paperwork and people contact.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse populations.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft programs, web browsers, and multiline telephone systems.
- Ability to adapt communication style to explain complex information to diverse audiences.
- Experience with multiple systems and databases, with the ability to elicit information from applicants and recipients.
- *Essential Qualifications**
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Two years of experience in customer service or a related field, with a high volume of paperwork and people contact.
