Job Description

We are seeking an experienced freelance packaging designer to create compliant, professional, and brand aligned product packaging for cannabis, hemp, CBD, and THC products. You will design a full range of physical packaging formats while strictly following U.S. regulatory standards for the cannabis industry.

Scope of Work

• Design packaging for cannabis flower, pre rolls, edibles, concentrates, vapes, tinctures, topicals

• Ensure designs support child resistant (CR) mechanisms, tamper evidence, odor control, UV protection, and freshness

• Create print ready files, dielines, and layout for compliant labeling (warnings, cannabinoid content, batch/lot, ingredients, universal symbols)

• Collaborate with our team to maintain brand consistency and production readiness

Requirements

• Proven portfolio of cannabis / hemp / CBD packaging design

• Understanding of U.S. cannabis packaging regulations (CR, labeling, warnings, opacity, child appeal restrictions)

• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and dieline creation

• Ability to deliver print ready files with tight tolerances for barcode scanability and regulatory text

• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and ability to meet deadlines

• Self motivated and able to work independently
