**Job Description:**


As a Flight Attendant at Southwest Airlines, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safety, comfort, and satisfaction of passengers aboard our flights. This role requires flexibility, quick problem-solving skills, and a friendly, enthusiastic attitude, as you will serve as the face of Southwest Airlines to our customers. You will be trained to handle a variety of situations at thousands of feet in the air, so the ability to adapt and act swiftly under pressure is essential.


**Responsibilities:**


– Conduct pre-flight inspections of emergency equipment.


– Demonstrate emergency equipment and safety procedures.


– Greet passengers, assist with seating assignments, and carry-on luggage storage.


– Serve food and beverages and sell onboard products.


– Attend to passengers’ needs, comfort, and inquiries.


– Administer and coordinate emergency medical care as needed.


– Ensure compliance with all FAA regulations.


– Manage flight duties using electronic or written means.


– Engage with a diverse array of passengers; professionally managing any conflicts that arise.


**Requirements:**


– Minimum age of 21 years.


– High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.


– Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently.


– Valid US passport or the ability to acquire one.


– Pass a background check, drug screening, and fingerprinting.


– Ability to report to your assigned base location within 2 hours.


– Flexibility to work on weekends, nights, holidays, and extended hours.


**Preferred Qualifications:**


– 2+ years of customer service or hospitality experience.


– Additional languages are a significant advantage.


– First Aid or CPR certification.
