Job Description:
Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced Virtual Special Education Teacher to join our team for the 2024/2025 school year. This is a full-time, remote position, serving students in South Carolina. The ideal candidate will hold a South Carolina Special Education Multi-Categorical License and have experience teaching in a self-contained classroom. Previous virtual teaching experience is highly preferred, and we are looking for someone with a passion for working with students with diverse learning needs.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct virtual instruction to students with disabilities in a self-contained classroom setting.
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.
Collaborate with other educators, staff, and parents to ensure the success of students.
Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive and supportive learning environment.
Monitor student progress, assess learning outcomes, and adjust instructional methods as needed.
Communicate regularly with families and school administration regarding student progress.
Participate in meetings and trainings as required by the school district.
Adhere to all special education laws, regulations, and district policies.
Requirements:
Must hold a current South Carolina Multi-Categorical Special Education License.
Minimum of 3 years of onsite Special Education teaching experience in a classroom setting.
Previous virtual teaching experience is strongly preferred.
Comfortable teaching in a self-contained classroom with students of varying needs and abilities.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining strong communication.
Must be willing to work as a 1099 Independent Contractor.
Must possess general liability insurance.
Compensation and Benefits:
Hourly Pay: Negotiable based on experience.
Weekly Pay: Direct deposit.
Independent Contractor: Flexible schedule and work-from-home benefits.
