Responsibilities
Ā Underwrite new and renewal business.

Ā Meet or exceed production goals as assigned by manager.

Ā Develop and maintain excellent relationships with clients.

Ā Communicate properly and timely with all producers regarding submissions and decisions for new or renewal business.

Ā Approve and disapprove endorsement requests according to internal and Company guidelines.

Ā Monitor accounts to ensure compliance with the firm's policies and procedures.

Ā Review and handle policy servicing requests appropriately.

Ā Review inspection reports and compare to the conditions that were represented at the time of binding and take appropriate actions.

Ā Meet or exceed file documentation standards and comply with underwriting authority level standards.

Ā Maintain necessary licenses to produce business.
Requirements
Ā Bachelor's degree or appropriate insurance designation.

Ā Three years of experience in production and marketing of new accounts.
,
Ā Must be licensed in corresponding areas of insurance.
,
Ā Ability to understand and analyze necessary components of insurance.
,
Ā Knowledge of the risk exposures associated with clients' needs.

Ā Recognize new trends and developments in the insurance industry.

Ā Knowledge of commercial multi-line underwriting and rating.

Ā Ability to use company automation.

Ā Ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with agencies.

Ā Provide necessary instruction to underwriting support staff.
