Job description: The Home Health Area Sales Manager is responsible for leading and executing strategic initiatives to drive referral growth, expand market presence, and support census growth in a defined territory. This role includes both direct sales responsibilities and the management of a team of local liaisons. The Area Sales Manager will coach, mentor, and lead their team to meet performance goals while also cultivating key referral relationships themselves.RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Supervise, coach, and support a team of Home Health Marketers within the designated area.



  • Set individual and team performance goals and monitor progress through KPIs.



  • Provide ongoing training, support, and development to ensure high performance and professional growth.



  • Conduct regular field rides and joint visits with team members to reinforce effective strategies and provide feedback.



  • Collaborate with senior leadership on team hiring, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions when needed.



  • Identify, develop, and maintain strong relationships with physicians, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, discharge planners, case managers, and other potential referral sources.



  • Strategically promote the agency’s services to meet or exceed referral and census growth goals.



  • Conduct presentations, in-services, and marketing events to raise awareness and drive new business.



  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry changes to adjust strategies accordingly.



  • Track and report weekly and monthly referral data, marketing activities, and performance metrics to leadership.

RequirementsQUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent



  • Proven sales experience, ideally in home health, healthcare services, or related industries.



  • Knowledge of healthcare services, home care regulations, and insurance procedures is a plus.



  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets and drive team performance.



  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.



  • Self-starter with strong organizational and time-management abilities



  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel locally.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Ability to perform the following tasks if necessary:

  • Able to read assignments, follow directions.



  • Able to walk, climb stairs, stoop, twist, bend, and squat to perform essential job functions.



  • Must be able to lift or move 35 pounds of weight.
