On-Call Phone Registered Nurse Remote
Job Summary
Project Caring is a fully licensed assisted living facility which operates in a 10-bedroom house in a quiet neighborhood in West Lakeland Township (outside of Stillwater). We generally have two care staff on during the day (7a-8p) and one during the overnight.
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Assisted Living Facilities on-call rotation. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients in various settings, including nursing homes, ICUs, and emergency departments.
This role is remote to follow an on-call nursing schedule. Training will be on-site and some travel to site might be necessary from time to time. On-call schedule will vary monthly and will be very part time requiring one weekend a month.
- Duties
- Answer any phone calls that come into the nurse line and triage as applicable.
- Follow provider orders, policies, and procedures
- Perform basic life support and advanced life support procedures when necessary.
- Assist in trauma medicine situations, providing immediate care to patients in critical conditions.
- Requires excellent critical thinking skills.
- Document patient information accurately using electronic health record systems such as R-tasks.
- Ensure compliance with ICD-10 coding for accurate medical record keeping.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Required to answer phone calls within 1-2 hours when on call.
- Skills
- CPR/BLS Certification
- Active Registered Nursing License
- Strong skills in medication administration and patient monitoring.
- Knowledge of electronic health record systems.
- Understanding of ICD-10 coding for accurate documentation.
- Experience working in nursing homes or ICU settings is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- All training must be completed prior to working, including Educare requirements and at least 2 days of on-shift training. We can use your recent transcripts for courses you have completed within the past year.
- Required to pass a TB Gold blood test
- Background check required per state law
