Description of Work:
• Capture the current state (AS-IS) architecture and develop a future state (TO-BE) cloud architecture for SAS environments.
• Lead the migration of on-premises SAS environments (DEV, BETA & PROD) to Azure Gov Cloud, achieving key milestones.
• Transfer SAS-related data from on-premises servers to Azure Gov Cloud.
• Review and update SAS licenses as necessary to ensure compliance in the new cloud environment.
• Benchmark, document, and optimize the newly deployed SAS Cloud Environment for performance, security, and scalability.
• Collaborate with application developers to integrate existing applications with the new SAS Cloud environment, providing support as needed.
• Conduct testing, documentation, and security reviews of the SAS Cloud environment to ensure all security and performance standards are met.
• Document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), required environments, and architecture details for the migrated SAS environment.
• Manage tasks and program deliverables efficiently while coordinating with cross-functional teams.
• Provide subject matter expertise in SAS code development, design, and implementation within a Unix/Linux environment on the Azure Cloud platform.

Basic Qualifications: Minimum knowledge, skills, abilities needed.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in SAS architecture, development, and performance optimization.
• 5+ years of experience in Linux system administration, specifically in Unix/Linux environments.
• 5+ years of experience with cloud environments, preferably Azure Gov Cloud.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with SAS data migration, particularly from UNIX to Linux systems.
• Proven experience in SAS configuration and optimization, including SAS spawner, SAS connect, and SAS share server setups in Linux.
• Proficiency in testing and connecting SAS code with MSSQL and Sybase databases.
• In-depth knowledge of Linux VM setup, configuration, and performance optimization within an Azure Cloud environment.
• Expertise in scripting using Korn shell.
• Experience with documenting, benchmarking, and optimizing SAS environments in cloud-based Linux systems.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Public Trust clearance.
