Minimum Requirements:

Valid Minnesota Tier 3 or Tier 4 teaching license with appropriate Special Education endorsement(s) (e.g., ABS, EBD, ASD, SLD)
Bachelor's degree or higher in Special Education or related field
Completion of student teaching or practicum in a special education setting
Successful completion of required background checks and fingerprinting, as mandated by the Minnesota Department of Education

Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
Provide direct instruction and support in academic, behavioral, and social skills
Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
Monitor and document student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team meetings, and parent conferences
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to special education
Foster an inclusive, supportive, and respectful classroom environment
