In the welcoming community of Harvey—located just outside New Orleans—we're seeking a dedicated educator to support students who are deaf or hard of hearing for the upcoming school year.
- State and Federal Requirements:
- Louisiana teaching certificate with endorsement in Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH)
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education or Special Education
- Fingerprint and background clearance
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- Job Description/Duties:
- Provide direct and consultative instructional support for DHH students
- Use various communication methods including ASL, total communication, or oral approaches
- Collaborate with general education teachers and IEP teams
- Monitor student progress and contribute to IEP development
