Mental Health Assistant, Hybrid - Full Time/Days: Seattle
About the position
- Responsibilities
- Answer the nursing line and gather information about calls, recognizing the need for clinical intervention.
- Document accurate information in the proper format regarding patient calls and issues.
- Support the MH clinical team with data entry, message sorting, faxing, and filing.
- Assist with pre and post hospitalization processes, including arranging transportation and reviewing appointments.
- Observe patients awaiting hospitalization and notify the clinical team if assistance is needed.
- Provide system navigation support to patients and their families, orienting them to available services and resources.
- Work with patients to clarify goals, planned actions, and follow-up in accordance with their Care Plan.
- Requirements
- Minimum one (1) year of community or customer service experience.
- Associates degree or two (2) years of experience in a directly related field, or completion of a vocational school certificate in a related field.
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) is required.
- Basic Life Support certification required at hire.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
- Computer literacy including Word, Windows, Excel, and other Microsoft products.
- Understanding of how socioeconomic, environmental, cultural, and other factors influence health.
- Nice-to-haves
- Behavioral health or health care coordination experience.
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or other social services field.

- Competitive salary range of $45,900 - $59,290 per year.
