About the position
Sentara is seeking a Scheduler/Customer Service Representative for the Clinical Access Centralized Scheduling Department. This role involves managing patient scheduling and addressing customer service inquiries related to eligibility, claims, and payments, primarily in a call center environment. The position will transition to remote work after an initial onsite orientation period.
- Responsibilities
- Handle incoming calls to address eligibility, claim, and payment issues. ,
- Perform patient scheduling and referral work. ,
- Provide quality service and customer satisfaction through effective communication and education. ,
- Research and resolve telephone inquiries related to customer service. ,
- Schedule a high volume of procedures for patients in a computerized scheduling system. ,
- Accurately obtain required information in the scheduling process. ,
- Responsible for order entry process, communications, guest relations, and medical record maintenance.
- Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent. ,
- Two years of customer service experience. ,
- Experience with medical insurance in a hospital or physician's office setting, specifically in Cardiology preferred. ,
- Experience scheduling patient appointments. ,
- High volume call center experience preferred. ,
- Epic EMR experience preferred. ,
- Data entry skills.
