Full-Time Reading Specialist Job | Elementary Caseload | Chester, PA
Blazer Jobs is proud to partner with the Chester, PA school district to bring on an experienced and dedicated Reading Specialist for the 2025–2026 school year. This is a full-time, onsite position serving students at Stetser Elementary School. We're seeking a professional who is passionate about literacy instruction and committed to student growth in an urban education setting.
- Position Details
- Location: Stetser Elementary School, Chester, PA
- Schedule: 37.5 hours/week | August 25, 2025 – June 12, 2026
- Type: Full-Time | Onsite | Contract (renewals based on performance and district needs)
- Key Responsibilities
- Deliver targeted reading interventions to students with a range of learning needs
- Design and implement lesson plans aligned to Pennsylvania standards and district curriculum
- Use formative assessments and data to inform instruction and drive literacy growth
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to integrate reading strategies
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate with families as needed
- Establish and maintain a structured classroom environment with strong behavior management practices
- State & Role Requirements
- Active Pennsylvania Reading Specialist Certification (Required)
- Must have prior school-based experience
- Completion of all PA background clearances
- Strong classroom management and effective behavior strategies
- Prior experience working in urban education environments
