Overview
A telemedicine company is seeking a licensed MD Physician with at least 1 year of experience prescribing GLP-1 medications to join our growing telemedicine team. This role is ideal for physicians who are passionate about delivering exceptional virtual care and who thrive in remote, patient-focused environments.
We are not accepting applications from nurse practitioners or registered nurses for this role. Only licensed Medical Doctors (MDs) will be considered.
- Responsibilities
- Conduct scheduled virtual consultations with patients, as assigned by the company, in accordance with the state(s) in which you are licensed.
- Evaluate patient conditions using virtual diagnostic techniques and prescribe appropriate GLP-1 treatment plans when indicated.
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation of all patient interactions in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Ensure all telehealth practices are in full compliance with HIPAA and relevant state/federal healthcare laws.
- Collaborate with the internal team for referrals, follow-ups, and continuous care improvements.
- Educate patients on lifestyle, medication use (especially GLP-1s), and appropriate follow-up care.
- Stay current with evolving telemedicine technologies and best practices.
- Qualifications
- Must be a licensed MD (Medical Doctor) in at least one U.S. state.
- Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience prescribing GLP-1 medications (e.g., semaglutide, liraglutide, tirzepatide).
- Experience in telemedicine, outpatient care, weight management, or metabolic health is highly preferred.
- Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills in a virtual care setting.
- Excellent communication and patient rapport-building skills.
- Must be organized, responsive, and committed to high-quality virtual care.
