Our projects require precise planning and seamless coordination with Miami-Dade County permitting offices. We are looking for an architect who already understands the local permitting process and can prepare plans that get approved quickly.
Position Overview:
The Residential Architect will handle the full design process for home additions and remodels while navigating Miamiβs permitting requirements with ease. You should have hands-on experience preparing complete plan sets for submission and a proven record of working directly with the City of Miami and Miami-Dade County building departments.
- Responsibilities:
- Design residential additions, remodels, and new builds from concept to completion.
- Prepare detailed architectural drawings and complete plan sets ready for permit submission.
- Ensure all plans meet Miami-Dade building codes and zoning regulations.
- Handle the permitting process from application to approval.
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and inspectors throughout construction.
- Conduct site visits to ensure work matches approved plans.
- Communicate directly with clients about design, budget, and timeline.
- Requirements:
- Proven experience preparing plans and obtaining permits in Miami-Dade County.
- Minimum 3 years in residential architecture.
- Strong skills in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar software.
- Excellent communication and organization skills.
- Preferred:
- Familiarity with luxury residential projects in South Florida.
- Knowledge of local climate design considerations.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
