About the position

    Responsibilities
  • Identify, research, and define large-scale AI/ML use cases in collaboration with business leaders and strategic partners.
  • Guide end-to-end efforts to develop scalable, efficient, automated AI/ML solutions.
  • Collaborate with IT architects to design and implement cutting-edge AI/ML solutions.
  • Ensure AI/ML solutions are built using industry best practices and sound methodology.
  • Design large, complex information assets that enable applied analytics.
  • Simplify, modernize, and standardize the model development lifecycle.
  • Lead or participate in talent development initiatives and technical interview panels.
  • Translate complex analytical concepts to diverse audiences to promote data literacy.
  • Provide technical oversight for building and maintaining a library of reusable algorithms.
  • Develop and maintain academic and industry relationships for research purposes.
    Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, computer science, statistics, economics, finance, actuarial sciences, or a similar quantitative discipline.
  • 10 years of progressive experience in predictive analytics or data analysis, including 6 years in training and validating advanced analytics models.
  • 6 years of experience in a dynamic scripted language (e.g., Python, R) with a focus on code transparency.
  • Subject matter expert in classical supervised modeling techniques.
  • Subject matter expert in unsupervised modeling techniques.
  • Deep hands-on experience in building and managing advanced analytics solutions.
  • Extensive project management experience with a history of managing project milestones and risks.
  • Experience guiding and mentoring junior technical staff.
  • Experience explaining complex technology decisions to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience leading business transformation through advanced analytics.
    Nice-to-haves
  • US military experience or a military spouse/domestic partner.
  • 5 or more years of experience in developing and executing a holistic AI strategy.
  • Experience implementing a framework to identify AI/ML use case opportunities.
  • Knowledge of the Insurance Industry and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Experience enhancing AI literacy within an organization.
