We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate professional to join our team at Life Skills Autism Academy in Speedway, IN. As a Center-Based Behavior Technician, you will play a vital role in helping children with Autism Spectrum Disorder develop critical skills and reach their full potential.
In this rewarding position, you will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst to provide Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy in a 1:1 setting. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing direct client care in 1:1 and group settings using intensive teaching and natural environment training
- Following prescribed behavioral skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols
- Collecting, recording, and summarizing data on observable client behavior
- Assisting with parent and caregiver training
- Maintaining accurate documentation and communicating effectively with parents and caregivers
Requirements:
- Current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or willingness to complete a 40-hour training course and sit for the RBT competency exam
- High School Diploma or GED
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license (if applicable)
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and physically perform the job requirements
- Strong attention to detail, patience, and emotional control
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong cultural competency and ability to work with diverse populations
