Howmet Aerospace is seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician to join our team at our facility in Cleveland, OH. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and machinery. Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and overhauls on machinery and equipment. This is a hands-on role that requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, electrical controls, and hydraulic systems. As a Maintenance Technician, you will work independently with minimal supervision, and be a valuable resource to the production, engineering, and maintenance teams.

Responsibilities:


  • Disassemble machines and equipment to inspect, repair, or replace defective parts

  • Examine and troubleshoot broken machine parts to identify repair requirements

  • Replace, repair, or realign machine parts and accessories to ensure proper function

  • Assemble machine parts after maintenance and repair work is completed

  • Assist other maintenance team members and serve as a resource to production, engineering, and other plant personnel

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

  • Learn and comprehend the fundamentals of machine functions and operations

  • Troubleshoot hydraulic systems using deductive reasoning and schematics

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:


  • High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) from an accredited institution

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Ability to lift 40 pounds

  • Electrical controls awareness

  • Knowledge of machine mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, blueprint reading, and operation of machine tools

  • Experience in maintaining and repairing injection presses

  • 3+ years of previous manufacturing experience

  • Journeyman's Card

  • Ability to effectively work and communicate as part of a team
