We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Teaching Assistant Professor to join our School of Educational Foundations, Leadership and Aviation at Oklahoma State University. As a key member of our Educational Psychology team, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of our students and contributing to the advancement of educational psychology.

About the Position:


  • Location: Stillwater, OK (with opportunities for online teaching and occasional Tulsa campus presence)

  • Compensation: Competitive salary commensurate with experience and qualifications

  • Start Date: August 2024

  • Duration: 3-year, renewable, non-tenure track position

Responsibilities:


  • Teach undergraduate and graduate-level courses in Educational Psychology

  • Advise and supervise Master's-level students

  • Coordinate, expand, and develop the Master's program

  • Serve the school, college, university, and profession

Requirements:


  • Earned doctorate in Educational Psychology, Learning Sciences, Developmental Psychology, or a closely related field

  • Demonstrated strong potential for excellence in teaching and administrative skills

  • Commitment to recruiting students from diverse backgrounds

  • Candidates who are ABD will be considered

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Excellence in online teaching or prior K-12 experience

  • Diverse skillsets/competencies and creative pedagogical approaches

  • Equity-minded with a commitment to inclusive excellence

  • Interest in empirically-based solutions for reducing educational disparities
