Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and student-focused professional to join our team as a Student Success Specialist at Harford Community College. As a key member of our student support services team, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing coaching strategies to help students achieve academic success. Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement individualized success plans for students, providing guidance on study skills, academic support resources, and campus-wide initiatives.

  • Coordinate and manage scheduled and group tutoring programs, ensuring seamless delivery of academic support services.

  • Provide leadership on student success best practices, advising at-risk populations, and monitoring student progress.

  • Collaborate with academic divisions to develop support resources, learning initiatives, and teaching methods that facilitate student success.

  • Manage daily operations and activities of the Learning Center, including staff supervision, scheduling, and customer service initiatives.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.

  • At least one year of work experience in a related field, preferably in a college tutoring/learning center.

  • Knowledge of student development theory and intermediate MS Office skills.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience working at a college tutoring/learning center, coordinating tutoring and academic support initiatives.
