Paraprofessional Tutor - Academic Support (Part-Time)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Paraprofessional Tutor to join our Academic Support team at Waubonsee Community College! As a part-time tutor, you will provide individualized and group academic support to students, helping them master concepts and develop effective learning strategies. Responsibilities:
- Facilitate individual and small group tutoring sessions to support students' academic success
- Create a welcoming environment and provide exceptional customer service to students, faculty, and staff
- Conduct classroom visits and collaborate with faculty and colleagues
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to tutoring policies and procedures
- Assist the Academic Support Coordinator with various projects and tasks
Requirements:
- Associate or Bachelor's degree with a strong academic record (transcript required)
- Experience in teaching, tutoring, or delivering academic support at the high school or college level
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suites, and Canvas
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and cultures
