Customer Service Representative - Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy (Remote)
Job Summary:
CVS Health is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy team remotely. As a critical member of our team, you will provide exceptional telephone support to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug therapy, ensuring seamless coordination and processing of new patient medication orders and reorders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide telephone support to patients, verifying and resolving benefits, and processing new or refill prescriptions into the pharmacy information system.
- Communicate with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to screen, identify, resolve, and defer orders with accounts receivable or clinical issues.
- Utilize superb communication skills to interact with patients, insurance companies, and internal partners, ensuring timely processing of specialty medications and meeting financial and clinical expectations.
Requirements:
Essential Qualifications:
- 1+ year of experience in a customer service role handling complex customer needs over the phone.
- 1+ year of experience with Windows-based applications, including Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications.
- 1+ year of computer keyboarding experience.
- Verifiable high school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 6+ months of experience resolving complex customer needs over the phone.
- Healthcare work experience and familiarity with benefits, insurance, prescriptions, and medical terminology.
Schedule and Benefits:
- Monday - Friday, 11 AM - 7:30 PM EST.
- Competitive salary: $22.00 - $36.00 per hour.
