Remote Quality Engineer Opportunity with American Express - $25/Hr

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Engineer to join our team at American Express. As a Quality Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our travel-related products and services. This is a full-time, remote opportunity that offers a competitive salary of $25/hour.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with engineers on Client Acceptance Testing and Quality Assurance (QA) approaches and processes


• Develop and execute test scripts, aid in planning of test procedures, and set up and maintain test data and conditions


• Log results, update streams of services while testing, and identify new opportunities to drive improvement


• Work closely with Product Owners, Vendors, American Express Engineers, and Technical Teams to coordinate E2E testing


• Ensure that quality standards and quality processes are being followed in the development of software

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other technical discipline, or equivalent work experience


• Experience with Agile, Scrum at scale (SAFe), and other iterative application development techniques


• Proficiency with JIRA, or similar development and defect tracking applications


• Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal skills


• Ability to work flexible hours with occasional overtime on a case-by-case basis


• Knowledge and experience with at least one coding language

Preferred Qualifications:

• Automation frameworks and tools


• Experience with Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) environments
