Mental Health Technician - Sunrise House - FT 3rd Shift
About the position
- Responsibilities
- Provide crisis stabilization services to individuals experiencing a mental health crisis while at the Sunrise House
- Interacts routinely with clients in a positive and supportive manner
- Monitors and documents observations of client treatment, activities, and behaviors
- Supports clients in completing activities of daily living
- Utilizes deescalating skills in intense situations
- Supports consumers in achieving treatment goals, medication compliance, crisis management, monitor client one to one for safety or as needed
- Work towards successful reintegration of consumers back into their home, community, school and outpatient/community mental health services
- Complete all required documentation, training and competency reviews in a timely and accurate manner as defined by the agency
- Other activities as assigned
- Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Computer proficiency
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Familiarity with community mental health services
- Nice-to-haves
- Two years or more professional experience in mental health services, crisis response, or a related field
- Two years or more of experience working with educating and teaching clients about self-care, improving daily living activities
