Construction Management Consultant
- Description:
- Perform Project Status Reports (PSRs) for new construction and renovation projects at commercial properties.
- Review drawings for completeness and best practices.
- Review construction plans and specifications to complete quantitative take-offs.
- Ability to recognize various complexities of projects.
- Accurate pricing of work to be performed by contractors, subcontractors, etc.
- Complete the analysis of material and subcontractor quotations.
- Assist Project Managers with the preparation of the budget analysis portion of Construction Risk Assessments.
- Request material and equipment pricing from vendors and suppliers.
- Communicate with subcontractor base with regard to project scope, schedule, risks, etc.
- Assist in the creation/maintenance of in-house database of construction costs.
- Maintain high level of client contact and communication.
- Manage multiple projects.
- Prepare Project Status Reports.
- Requirements:
- Certification by the American Society of Professional Estimators, and/or The American Society of Cost Engineers is highly desirable.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Building Construction, or Construction Management.
- In lieu of a degree, directly related experience may be substituted.
- A minimum of six years of progressively responsible estimating experience, three of which were related to estimating and bidding heavy construction projects.
- Timberline, BIM, On-Screen Takeoff, or iSqFt experience.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially with Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with construction best practices, general building codes, and various building types.
- Passion for being detail oriented and highly organized.
- Knowledge of the entitlement/permitting process and construction delivery methods and agreements.
- Familiarity with construction best practices, general building codes, and various building types.
- Familiarity with Quire is a plus.
- Must have firm grasp of spoken and written English.
- Must be physically fit to manage stairs, and climb two or three story ladders within OSHA safety guidelines.
- Must work as a team member, utilizing the experience and knowledge of AEI staff who will review and critique reports prior to client delivery.
- Must deliver outstanding on-time service with proactive solutions.
