Temporary Program Coordinator, National Security Language Initiative for Youth (NSLI-Y), Placement
About the position
- Responsibilities
- Supports U.S. and overseas-based staff in implementation and daily operation of NSLI-Y programs
- Responds to inquiries from NSLI-Y participants and parents by phone and email
- Coordinates participant domestic and international travel arrangements
- Supports submission of participant student visa applications to various consulates
- Contributes to host family placement and reporting requirements
- Assists with event management of pre-departure orientations and other in-person program activities
- Collects and manages participant information across platforms, including careful data entry
- Contributes to development of participant materials, program reports, and events
- Performs additional administrative duties as assigned.
- Requirements
- Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English
- Outstanding attention to detail, organizational, and time-management skills
- Ability to exercise good judgment and flexibility
- Ability to respectfully and professionally manage student information
- Demonstrated experience working with a high-volume of clerical and administrative tasks
- BA in relevant field (e.g. language, education, international affairs, area studies) preferred
- Study, work, or overseas travel experience in a NSLI-Y host country preferred.
