Overview

A Bouldering Gym Specialist is someone who is enthusiastic, self-motivated, and proactive. Delivers outstanding customer experiences to everyone who walks through our doors.

    Responsibilities
  • Take initiative to help the team progress to our shared purpose - discover ourselves and connect with others;
  • Greets customers and responds to guest inquiries via email, phone, or in-person in a timely, friendly and efficient manner;
  • Facilitates in-person and online transactions, event bookings, memberships, and sales initiatives;
  • Executes tasks related to general upkeep and maintenance of the facility;
  • Manage the inherent risks involved with climbing & training;
  • Have a high level of product knowledge of gym offerings including day use, memberships, Programs, Yoga & Fitness, and gym events;
  • Assist customers with Pro Shop products and questions about climbing gear;
  • Lead introduction adult and youth climbing courses in accordance with Sender One’s policies;
  • Complete department & operations checklist(s) in a timely manner;
  • Knowledge and utilization of the following systems: Paycom, Google Suites, Rock Gym Pro, and Basecamp.
  • Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs;

  • Passionate about climbing, working with kids, and instructing;

  • Willingness to learn and grow from challenges, seeing tasks through to completion;
  • Open to receiving and providing feedback, guidance, insight, assistance, and perspective in a professional manner;
  • Work with a team, provide support to fellow team members, share ideas, and earn trust;
  • Self-directed and has the drive to grow professionally.
    Industry Experience
  • Familiar with the fundamentals of climbing.
  • Experience coaching and instructing preferred.
    Time Commitment
  • Must be fully available to work at least one weekend day per work week (Sun - Sat);
  • Must be able to work a minimum of 16 hours or 2 shifts per work week (Sun - Sat);
  • Must be able to attend the Mandatory All Staff Quarterly meeting.
