About the position
- Responsibilities
- Work from operation sheets, blueprints, and verbal instructions to perform diversified assembling operations.
- Set up and operate a variety of machines and assembly operations to specific tolerances using available fixtures.
- Perform operations such as assembly, wiring, testing, and packing.
- Use a variety of measuring instruments to test components for acceptability to operating requirements and specifications.
- Perform minor maintenance of bench and shop tools and equipment.
- Maintain records of parts and components processed.
- Guide and train lower level employees as needed.
- Keep work area safe, clean, and orderly.
- Use prescribed personal protection equipment (PPE) where necessary.
- Follow established environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures.
- Requirements
- Knowledge equivalent to high school, industrial or trade training.
- Ability to read and interpret uncomplicated drawings.
- 1 to 3 years of assembly experience involving hand and eye coordination skills.
