Corporate Affairs & Communication Internship
Join American Express as a summer intern in Corporate Affairs & Communications to gain hands-on experience in media relations, employee communications, and corporate sustainability.
Your Role
- Key responsibilities include:
- Writing and editing press releases, messaging, pitches, social media copy, and more
- Researching and creating targeted media lists
- Developing and implementing internal communication strategies and events
- Brainstorming communication concepts and approaches for marketing programs
- Assisting with creation and execution of social campaigns around select sponsorships
- Researching company initiatives, benchmarking competitors, and preparing materials for executive events
- Working within the Corporate Affairs & Communications team to support strategic business initiatives
About You
- The company is looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree candidates with expected graduation between December 2026 and June 2027
- Currently enrolled full-time in a bachelor’s degree program
- Curiosity about writing, social media, and communications
- Excellent written, verbal, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities with flexibility (preferred)
- Excellent attention to detail (preferred)
- Employment eligibility to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship provided
- Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly wage range: $24.05 to $63.00 plus sign-on bonus
