About the position

    Responsibilities
  • Respond to and resolve customer service inquiries and issues on the first call by identifying the topic and type of assistance needed.
  • Guide and educate customers about consumer-driven health care topics to help them select the best benefit plan options.
  • Initiate proactive outreach to members, including welcoming new members and addressing gaps in care.
  • Contact care providers on behalf of customers to assist with appointment scheduling or connections with specialists.
  • Assist customers in navigating myuhc.com and other UnitedHealth Group websites.
    Requirements
  • High School Diploma / GED or equivalent work experience.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • 1+ years of customer service experience.
  • Ability to work the hours of 11:35 am - 8:05 pm CST from Monday - Friday, including occasional overtime.
    Nice-to-haves
  • Sales or account management experience.
  • Experience in a health care or insurance environment, including familiarity with medical terminology and health plan documents.
  • Background in social work, behavioral health, disease prevention, or health promotion.
