Job description: Primary Purpose of Position
Reporting to the Director of Career Services and Employer Relations, the Coordinator, Internship and Career Services will strengthen the College’s commitment to delivering a career relevant education to students in preparation for the job market. The Coordinator will manage the administrative aspects of Fisher’s Internship program and other office activities.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
- Administrative & Internship Program
- Facilitate collection of all required student documentation for internships, help guide the growth and development of the internship program (Boston Campus and Graduate and Professional Studies)
- Assist students with identifying and securing appropriate internship opportunities, as needed
- Contribute to the production of office marketing materials, including print and digital media
- Assist with coordination and delivery of all career related events and programs, such as employer recruiting activities, alumni networking events, and the Senior Career Conference
- Approve jobs, events, and employers through Handshake
- Collaborate with the Financial Aid Department on FWS job postings for on-campus positions, as well as positions that fulfill the FWS America Reads and Community Service federal requirement. Student Relations
- Support students’ career readiness and professional skill development with effective career advising conversations, including the development of resumes, cover letters, internship and job search techniques, networking, and other career-related skills
- Participate as an engaged and visible member of the college community, including serving as a guest speaker in classes and at events Fisher For Your Future
- Oversee the Fisher for Your Future badge program, including student registration, troubleshooting, administration, and tracking of badge completion.
- Bachelor's Degree and 2-3 years of experience in higher education, recruiting, or human resources. Master's degree preferred.
- Experience in a higher education career services environment is preferred.
- Ability to work autonomously and as a team.
- Demonstrated ability to interact with students, employers, staff, faculty, and other constituents.
- Experience with Handshake or similar career management platform preferred.
- Computer skills including proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Strong oral and written communication skills. Reports to: Director of Career Services and Employer Relations
