- The Laboratory Transcription Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of laboratory reports. Directly accountable to Laboratory Managers and Pathologists, this position necessitates adherence to established formats for specific types of dictation.Key Responsibilities:
- Producing high-quality transcripts that meet stringent standards
- Registering specimens for send out consultations and printing patient history records
- Scanning laboratory images and processing cytological specimens for interpretation by pathologists and/or cytotechnologists
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate Degree, Transcription Certificate and/or High School Diploma
- Experience with medical transcription and medical terminology expertise
