About Zodl
Our mission at Zcash Open Development Lab (ZODL) is to put shielded ZEC into the hands of billions of people, and to that end, we created and launched Zodl, a Zcash-powered mobile wallet built for private payments.
Along with other independent Zcash teams and developers, our team also supports Zcash through protocol development.

The Role
We’re looking for an Analytics & Optimization Specialist to help drive the next phase of growth for ZODL and the Zodl wallet.
This role sits at the intersection of analytics, experimentation, content, and growth. You’ll work closely with our Head of Marketing and Comms Lead to understand what drives attention, engagement, conversion, retention, and long-term adoption across our marketing and ecosystem efforts.
You will help build the analytical foundation behind our marketing organization. You will identify patterns, measure performance, improve efficiency, and help us make smarter decisions across content, campaigns, user acquisition, and growth initiatives. You will help us understand what resonates, which initiatives drive results, and how we should optimize every aspect of our marketing to increase Zodl adoption and overall ecosystem engagement.
This role is ideal for someone who combines strong analytical thinking with creative marketing instincts. You should be comfortable moving between analytics, experimentation, and creative collaboration across the broader marketing function.

Why This Role Matters
Marketing decisions are often driven by instinct, assumptions, trends, and vanity metrics. We want to build something more rigorous. To grow Zodl adoption, we need to understand what leads to meaningful conversions.
You'll help us measure performance, identify opportunities, improve efficiency, and guide decision-making through data rather than assumptions. You will help us treat marketing like a science: form hypotheses, test, measure, and iterate.
But numbers alone are not enough. The goal of this role is not simply to report metrics, but to deeply understand how positioning, messaging, content, design, product perception, and user psychology influence growth and adoption.
You will be a foundational pillar of our new marketing team. Your work will help us:
Refine marketing strategy using analytics and experimentation

Improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the marketing organization

What You’ll Do
Analyze performance across channels
Track performance across socials, websites, App Store listings, campaigns, and other channels

Build dashboards and reporting systems that show what’s working in real time

Connect marketing activity to user growth
Identify which visuals, narratives, formats, and messaging produce the strongest engagement and downstream conversions, not just engagement

Link marketing engagement to Zodl downloads, signups, monthly active users, and other product performance metrics

Identify bottlenecks and friction points

Use pattern recognition to identify what consistently resonates and help us replicate it

AI systems + workflow optimization
Help identify, implement, and optimize AI tools and automation systems across the marketing organization

Build workflows that improve efficiency, scalability, reporting, research, knowledge management, and visibility across the team

Explore how AI can improve marketing operations, experimentation, content workflows, and decision-making

Content, creation, collaboration, and experimentation
Contribute to content creation across marketing channels when needed, including social posts, articles, clips, and other lightweight marketing assets

Collaborate closely with the marketing team on brainstorming, creative direction, launches, announcements, and campaign strategy

Work with the Content & Comms Lead to test narratives, formats, audiences, distribution strategies, and engagement tactics

Think critically about how content, analytics, psychology, and distribution interact to drive growth

Drive data-informed decisions
Recommend what we should do more of, iterate on, or stop doing entirely

Surface high-leverage opportunities based on trends, performance, and experimentation

Quantify impact and provide clear rationale for prioritization

Develop hypotheses and design experiments to validate them

Build a culture of iteration and data-driven learning

SEO + discoverability optimization
Improve visibility and conversion across platforms such as App Store, Google Search, social platforms, and other discovery surfaces

Optimize titles, descriptions, keywords, metadata, landing pages, and content structures for discoverability and performance

Identify search trends and organic growth opportunities related to Zcash and Zodl

Weekly strategic insights and reporting
You’ll deliver concise, high-value weekly reports summarizing:
Key performance metrics

Trends in user behavior

Insights from experiments

Industry and competitor trends

Product performance

Recommendations

You’ll help create a clear picture of what’s moving the needle, what isn’t, and where the biggest growth opportunities exist.

Requirements
Experience working in crypto and genuine interest in Zcash, privacy, financial sovereignty, open systems, and the future of digital money

3+ years of experience in marketing analytics, growth marketing, performance marketing, optimization, product marketing, or related data-driven marketing roles

Experience in content, communications, campaigns, social media, or other marketing roles that demonstrate strong creative instincts and understanding of audience psychology

Demonstrated ability to connect marketing activity to product outcomes: downloads, signups, retention, monthly active users, and measurable growth.

Strong analytical and pattern-recognition skills, with the ability to spot trends, anomalies, and insights across large data sets.

Experience running A/B tests and evaluating creative performance across channels (social, website, app store, campaigns).

Hands-on experience with AI tools and automation workflows

Hands-on experience with analytics and reporting platforms such as Google Analytics, App radar, Search Console, Mixpanel and similar tools

Experience with SEO principles, keyword research, and organic growth strategies

Ability to understand marketing performance within the broader context of positioning, messaging, user psychology, and product adoption

Ability to translate signals from across marketing, product, user behavior, analytics, and ecosystem activity into clear recommendations, prioritizations, and strategies
