Assistant Unit Manager I - Specialty Critical Care
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Unit Manager I - Specialty Critical Care to join our team at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC). As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day clinical operations of a complex Special Critical Care Unit, such as Emergency Department, Labor & Delivery, Neonatal Intensive Care, or Perioperative Services.
Responsibilities:
- Assign and review work, oversee staffing, and assist with day-to-day clinical operations of a Special Critical Care Unit
- Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and implement changes to improve patient care
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve excellent patient outcomes
- Maintain a safe and efficient work environment
Requirements:
- Current Registered Nurse licensure with the State of California Board of Registered Nursing
- Two (2) years of experience as a licensed Registered Nurse with one (1) year of experience in a Specialty Unit (Burn Center, Cardiac Services, Critical Care, Emergency Department/Trauma, Labor & Delivery, Medical Imaging, and Operative Services)
- Current Healthcare Provider level Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Certifications/courses required by unit (e.g., Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Basic Fetal Monitoring, Critical Care course)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Supervisory/charge nurse experience
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing
