We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant/Associate Professor to join our Department of Behavior Analysis at the University of North Texas. The Department of Behavior Analysis is part of the College of Health and Public Service, which prepares graduates to address diverse and complex social issues. Job Summary:


We are looking for a talented individual to join our team as an Assistant/Associate Professor. The ideal candidate will have a strong research program, excellent teaching and mentoring skills, and a commitment to promoting student success. The successful candidate will be expected to:



  • Direct a strong programmatic line of research that is either currently externally funded or has the potential for external funding

  • Contribute to the academic success of behavior analysis students by offering individualized mentorship and developing and revising courses in their areas of expertise

  • Align their research program with departmental priorities and make synergistic use of partners and collaborators available in the college, university, and community


Requirements:


To be considered for this role, you will need:



  • A doctoral degree in Behavior Analysis or a related discipline from an accredited institution

  • Evidence of research with high potential for external support

  • Experience with college teaching in at least one area of behavior analysis or related area

  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, and written and verbal communication skills


Preferred Qualifications:


While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:



  • Current certification as a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst-Doctoral (BCBA-D) and eligible for licensure in Texas

  • Demonstrated working knowledge of current pedagogical and instructional technologies that are adaptive to student needs

  • Demonstrated knowledge in several areas of behavior analytic content

  • Experience with college teaching in multiple modes of instruction, including in-person, hybrid, online synchronous, and/or online asynchronous instruction
