Job Summary
The Associate Vice President of Portfolio Marketing is responsible for the overall strategic direction of the marketing of specific CSU programs and offerings within the degree and certificate portfolio.
Essential Job Tasks
Additional duties may be assigned. Lead a team for growth strategy and opportunity analysis for CSUās portfolio, aligning organizational goals with market trends and data-driven insights. Manage, research, design and implement programmatically focused opportunities and tactics as part of the program marketing and growth strategy. Coordinate subject matter expertise, to target audience opportunities, marketing initiatives and program research to drive enrollments for desired programs. Interface with other marketing, academic and outreach team members to coordinate and develop marketing initiatives focused on specific degree programs and concentrations. Coordinate new program launch process collaboration to include marketing, outreach, admissions, academics and Alumni teams. Engage with academic program directors and subject matter experts (faculty) to compile in-depth program target audience profiles (personas, geographies, career paths, companies) and the program features and benefits that align with those profiles. Provide support and coordination with academics in program market research and selection of programs as niche, emerging, growth, high performing or greater. Coordinate with marketing team members on marketing initiatives (text and multimedia) featuring program personnel, including webinars, social media, media features and interviews in coordination with the content, comms, social, performance, web, engagement and design teams. Coordinate program-specific email marketing campaigns, and implement other communication initiatives to promote programs and laddering opportunities. Research and coordinate with marketing team members for external marketing opportunities including but not limited to social media opportunities (e.g. Linkedin), podcasts, web features, external webinars, relevant industry publications, etc. Partner with Outreach to engage with learning partners, determine audience engagement tactics and additional promotional opportunities (e.g. joint campaigns, audience research, etc.)

Bachelorās degree required; Masterās degree preferred. Equivalent relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirements on a year-for-year basis. At least 7 years of experience in higher education, either program or marketing focused.
Equipment Used
Office equipment including computers, telephones, printers, faxes, and copiers. Software used includes Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Blackboard, and internal database software. Secure and reliable internet is required for this position.
