BI Engineer Needed for BigQuery and Sigma Computing Dashboard Build

Scope: Replace a manually-assembled 20-tab weekly Excel operations report with live Metabase dashboard connected to our existing BigQuery warehouse.

What we have:

All operational data already in BigQuery (sales, refunds, chargebacks, contact volume, processing, subscriptions, reputation)

Current report template in Excel (will share)

Metabase account

Airbyte account

What we need:

Data modeling layer in BigQuery

8-10 Metabase dashboards covering: contact volume & support metrics, refund/chargeback ratios by product and card network, processing & backlogs, online reputation, subscription health, staffing model

Automated weekly Slack/email summary of key metric changes

Documentation so our team can maintain it

Must-have skills:

BigQuery SQL (advanced — window functions, CTEs, partitioning)

Experience with at least one modern BI tool (Sigma, Looker, Tableau, or Power BI, Metabase)

Data modeling for analytics (star schema, etc.)

Experience with payment/fintech data (chargeback ratios, card network compliance)

dbt (data build tool) for managing the BigQuery transformation layer
