Cashier/Customer Service/Sales Associate
Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and friendly Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. This role is essential in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth checkout experience for our customers. - Duties
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently and accurately to process transactions
- Provide outstanding customer service by assisting customers with inquiries and resolving issues
- Perform cashiering duties including cash handling, processing payments, and managing the cash register
- Engage in upselling and product demonstrations to enhance customer experience and drive sales
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring all merchandise is properly stocked and displayed
- Assist with merchandising efforts by arranging products attractively to encourage purchases
- Supervise junior staff when necessary, providing guidance on best practices in customer service and sales
- Utilize basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations
- Communicate effectively with customers, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette when handling inquiries
- Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail environment preferred, particularly in grocery stores
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers

- Experience in supervising staff or leading teams is a plus
