Category Manager(Remote)
The Category Manager (Remote) is responsible for managing the supply chain for utility electric and gas operations services.
Key tasks include overseeing competitive bid events, conducting negotiations, performing market, price, and financial analyses, developing supplier relationships, tracking supplier performance, and reporting cost savings.
The role drives continuous improvement and productivity with suppliers and internal teams, working independently with minimal supervision and guiding other employees as needed.
Primary duties involve developing negotiation strategies, analyzing market and financial risks, maintaining professional supplier relationships, and acting as the category expert.
Basic qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or supply chain, at least five years of relevant buying experience, knowledge of utility products and services, and familiarity with business law and commercial terms.
