CDL-A Recruiting & HR Leader (Logistics / Fleet Operations)
We are seeking a high-impact Recruiting & HR Leader to build, scale, and optimize our CDL-A driver hiring engine while partnering with leadership on overall company structure, performance, and growth.
This is not a “post-and-pray” recruiting role.
We are looking for a player-coach who can recruit at a high level while building systems, developing people, and driving measurable business results.
- What You’ll Own
- Lead end-to-end CDL-A recruiting strategy (teams & solo OTR drivers)
- Build and manage a high-performing recruiting pipeline using platforms like Indeed, Tenstreet, and CDL-specific tools
- Partner with ownership to scale fleet operations and workforce planning
- Develop recruiting infrastructure, workflows, and automation
- Improve key metrics: cost-per-hire, driver quality, retention, and speed-to-seat
- Oversee HR functions including onboarding, compliance, and employee lifecycle
- Create and maintain strong company culture and communication standards
- Mentor and develop recruiters, admins, and support staff
- Collaborate with safety and operations to ensure DOT/FedEx compliance alignment
- What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in CDL-A recruiting within trucking/logistics
- Experience supporting or operating a fleet (OTR, linehaul, or similar)
- Strong background in HR leadership / HR business partnership
- Track record of scaling hiring and improving retention
- Experience with ATS platforms
- Ability to build systems: process improvement, automation, workflow design
- Strong leadership presence with a hands-on mentality
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment

Pay: From $90,000.00 per year
