Clinical Social Work Supervisor, Community Mental Health
Our client, a leading provider of comprehensive community-based mental health services, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Social Work Supervisor to join their team in **Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, US**. This role is critical in providing clinical guidance and administrative oversight to a team of social workers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care to individuals and families facing mental health challenges. Responsibilities: Provide clinical supervision and case consultation to a team of licensed and unlicensed social workers. Ensure adherence to ethical standards, best practices, and agency policies in all clinical services. Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans. Oversee crisis intervention and de-escalation strategies for clients presenting with acute mental health needs. Monitor client progress, document interventions, and ensure accurate and timely case record management. Facilitate psychoeducational groups and therapeutic interventions for clients and families. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and case managers, to coordinate client care. Assist in the recruitment, hiring, and training of new social work staff. Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing professional development support to supervisees. Ensure compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations, including HIPAA. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to program development. Serve as a liaison with external agencies, referral sources, and community partners. Manage caseloads and ensure equitable distribution of client services among the team. Provide direct clinical services to a limited caseload as needed. Qualifications: Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from an accredited institution. Current and unrestricted Pennsylvania Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license. Minimum of 5 years of post-MSW clinical experience in mental health or community services. At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role, providing clinical guidance. Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based therapeutic modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, Trauma-Informed Care). Strong knowledge of mental health diagnoses, treatment planning, and case management principles. Excellent assessment, diagnostic, and intervention skills. Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems. Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and leadership abilities. Commitment to cultural competency and serving diverse populations. Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage crises appropriately. Experience with grant writing and program evaluation is a plus.
