The estimated base salary range for this role is $95,000 to $150,000
Individual pay is based upon location, skills and expertise, experience and other relevant factors (salary may be adjusted based on geographic location)
As our Commercial Solutions Manager, your area of coverage is the Southwest region, including southern CA, southern Nevada, New Mexico, west Texas, Hawaii, and Arizona. Reporting directly to the Specification Regional Manager and working directly with industry leaders on the most significant & prestigious commercial projects. The main focus will be gaining basis of design specifications for our complete integrated Ceiling & Wall Solutions, thereby closing projects and increasing our sales.

- What you'll be doing
- Identifying key projects early in design (pre-planning/schematics stages), owning & driving these projects from concept to order closure/final installation to ensure a positive Total Customer Experience
- Working closely with Project Architects, Design Build Contractors, General Contractors/Construction Managers, & Subcontractors to create unique and differentiated specifications that enable value added Armstrong solutions for our customers
- Focusing on winning at every stage of the project by leveraging design services, pre-engineered integrated solutions, construction expertise and broad portfolio of ceiling & wall solutions
- Integrating with the Specification Manager and the local sales teams in their designated areas to capture Armstrong comprehensive line of solutions (core ceilings, core grid, AS, Data Centers, and specialty grid), thereby supporting our growth strategy of selling more into every space and selling into more spaces
- Applying a Total Solution selling approach to create demand through basis of design specifications and drawings for unique Armstrong solutions
- Acting as a team leader within respective regional teams; leads JFU meetings and assists with project priorities and establishing strategies/next steps
- Active participant in the Regional Monthly Pulse Calls sharing updates on top projects
- Targeting the largest $ pipeline value strategic projects within their regional coverage area; such as transportation, sports & entertainment, data centers, convention centers, & healthcare
- Owning a revolving active list of Future Top Promotional Opportunities + 30 Top Promotional Opportunities + 30 Top Opportunities in SFDC - driven by size and segment
- Using Salesforce to capture project follow-up activities, next steps and maintains active pipeline.
- Tracking and closing quotations within their territory on their major projects; utilizing the field sales team as a partner in that process
- Collecting and sharing market and business insight into competitors, market trends, product opportunities and other strategic information that will drive business growth
- Focusing on learning, applying and continuous improvement through individual & team education & specialized training to enhance their technical competencies

- Demonstrated ability and experience to effectively manage multiple relationships and priorities.
- Knowledge of specification sales, market segments, customers, contracting, and distribution channels.
- Strong presentation skills
- Experience with SalesForce.com, Blue Beam, Adobe, and Showpad
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Construction Science or a related field or work experience in lieu of degree.
- High school diploma or GED required
- 5+ years of architectural sales experience.
