Community Engagement Coordinator - Environmental Non-profit

Our client, a leading non-profit organization dedicated to environmental conservation and advocacy, is seeking a passionate and experienced Community Engagement Coordinator. This role is crucial for fostering strong relationships with local communities, volunteers, and stakeholders to support our client's mission. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement, blending remote flexibility with essential in-person collaboration. You will be at the forefront of mobilizing community support, organizing outreach events, and promoting environmental awareness.

Responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive community outreach strategies to engage diverse populations in environmental initiatives. Organize and manage community events, workshops, and volunteer activities, ensuring successful execution and impactful engagement. Build and maintain strong relationships with community leaders, local organizations, schools, and other stakeholders. Create engaging content for various communication channels, including social media, newsletters, and website updates, to inform and inspire the community. Recruit, train, and manage volunteers, providing ongoing support and recognition. Represent the organization at community meetings, forums, and public events. Track and report on community engagement metrics, evaluating the effectiveness of outreach programs and identifying areas for improvement. Collaborate with program staff to ensure alignment between community engagement efforts and organizational goals. Contribute to fundraising efforts by identifying potential donors and supporting grant application processes related to community programs. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies, Communications, Public Relations, Sociology, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in community organizing, volunteer management, non-profit outreach, or a similar role. Proven ability to develop and implement successful community engagement strategies. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse audiences. Strong organizational and project management skills, with meticulous attention to detail. Experience in event planning and management. Proficiency in social media platforms and content creation. Demonstrated passion for environmental issues and conservation. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.
