We are seeking a Community Manager/Maintenance Technician with affordable housing experience and strong leadership skills to join our team. This dynamic, hands-on position is responsible for the operating performance of a 40 unit family home community, ensuring great customer service for our residents, while providing a physical environment that is attractive and well maintained.

General maintenance responsibilities would include janitorial, filter changes, battery changes, light landscape, lawn mowing, plumbing, electrical, etc.

Responsible for the following, individually and as a property team:

ยท Tenant Relations/Customer Service

ยท Occupancy

ยท Rent collection

ยท Lease and rule compliance

ยท Managing expenditures

ยท Maintenance oversight, including work order monitoring and curb appeal

ยท Compliance Tax Credit programs

ยท Produce accurate monthly closings

ยท Light janitorial & maintenance

Necessary Skills:

ยท Positive leader who supports the team

ยท Proven problem-solving ability

ยท Clear written and verbal communication skills

ยท Work independently; maintain accessibility/approachability

ยท Assess and report condition of common area, units and facilities

ยท Knowledge of Appfolio, RealPage, Yardi, or similar management software

ยท Fair Housing Law/Practices

ยท Light janitorial & maintenance

Education:
High School Diploma (or equivalent)

Specialized Experience:
Direct Property Management experience: 1 year (Preferred)

LIHTC experience: 1 year (Preferred)

Certificates and Licenses:
Valid driver's license and means of transportation

Knowledge, Skills and Other Abilities:

ยท Knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, and Excel

ยท Ability to read financial reports and report variances

ยท Ability to interact effectively with residents, vendors, and contractors

ยท Ability to thrive and make decisions in a fast-paced environment

ยท Attention to detail, high level of accuracy, and strong sense of urgency
