Position: Expert Witness - Construction Defects/Claims
Location: Rocky Mountains Region
Schedule: Remote with some travel Rocky Mountains Region
One of Metric's long-term partners is an established forensics leader with a dynamic team driving innovation and excellence in construction consulting. We have started a new search for a licenced general contractor with considerable forensics experience to make a meaningful impact in the industry.
As a Construction & Contracting Expert you play a crucial role in uncovering the truth behind construction-related issues, providing expert insights, and helping stakeholders navigate complex challenges in the built environment.
- Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough site investigations and reporting, cost estimating for a range of claims including but not limited to construction site accidents, construction defects, third-party property damage & risk management.
- Prepare reports that clearly portray causes of failure, extent of loss, and recommended solutions.
- Provide expert opinions and analysis to support or refute claims.
- Act as an expert witness in legal proceedings, providing testimony based on your findings and analysis
- Qualifications:
- Licenced General Contractor in home state (multiple states preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field
- 15+ years of experience general contracting
- Forensics experience
- Strong analytical and field inspection skills
- Deposition and Expert Testimony experience
- Experience with high-rise and/or large-scale buildings (preferred)
- Additional:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- US driving license
- Willingness to travel
