Construction Estimator - Florida GC License
Founded in 2010, we are a global consulting firm that provides advisory and expert services in areas such as disputes and investigations, corporate finance, and performance improvement and advisory.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator with a Florida General Contractor License to join our team. We are a multidisciplinary team with expertise in project management, scheduling, accounting, and construction consulting in need of an experienced construction professional to aid in forensic analysis and litigation advisory for our construction practice.
- Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for construction projects based on plans and specifications.
- Conduct quantity takeoffs to determine material and labor requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to establish project budgets.
- Evaluate subcontractor bids and negotiate contract terms to achieve cost-effective solutions.
- Monitor and track project costs, identifying any discrepancies and proposing corrective actions.
- Conduct value engineering assessments to optimize project costs without compromising quality.
- Develop and maintain construction schedules to ensure timely project completion.
- Assess project risks and implement strategies to mitigate them effectively.
- Qualifications
- BS in Construction Management or related field
- Valid Florida General Contractor License is required
- Proven experience as a Construction Estimator in the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, construction management, and project estimation
- Experience in contract negotiation and quantity takeoff processes
- Familiarity with construction scheduling and risk management principles
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients
