About the position

    Responsibilities
  • Advise Student Government and Student Organizations, serving as the primary advisor for ASUW and GPSS officers.
  • Assist students with planning, budgeting, promotions, execution, management, and assessment of RSO-hosted events.
  • Monitor and advise student government program directors and RSOs regarding day-to-day operations.
  • Serve as a primary liaison between RSOs/ASUW/GPSS entities and campus staff, departments, and vendors.
  • Advocate for RSOs and student government across campus.
  • Monitor budgets and expenditures for assigned groups.
  • Maintain and update historical records and files related to assigned committees and programs.
  • Advise Assistant Director on emerging and ongoing issues among student organizations.
  • Prepare reports and statistical data.
  • Monitor compliance with University and state policies, procedures, and regulations.
    Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Student Affairs, Counseling, or a related field.
  • 1 year of related experience in Higher Education, College Unions/Student Activities, or Non-profit Management.
  • Experience working with student organizations or advising students.
  • Interpersonal, problem solving, and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
    Nice-to-haves
  • 1+ years' related experience in Higher Education, College Unions/Student Activities, or Non-profit Management.
  • Experience with event planning and management.
  • Experience working directly with student leaders and/or student government.
