Work Setting : Telecommuting under this contract is required.
- Required :
- Experience in data engineering, including designing and implementing data pipelines and ETL processes (3+ years);
- Experience in programming languages such as Python and SQL.
- Experience with relational database design and data modeling.
- Experience with implementing data warehouses, data lakes, or data lakehouses.
- Experience with Alteryx Designer. (3+ years);
- Experience with environmental science, water quality, or related fields.
- Experience with business intelligence tools such as Qlik Sense.
- Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following :
- Design and implement scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to support environmental and water quality data workflows
- Develop and maintain data solutions using Python and SQL for extraction, transformation, and analysis
- Create and optimize relational database schemas and data models aligned with business and scientific requirements
- Architect and deploy data warehouses, data lakes, or data lakehouses to enable advanced analytics and reporting
- Leverage Alteryx Designer to automate data preparation, blending, and analytical workflows
- Apply domain knowledge in environmental science and water quality to inform data strategy and solution design
- Build interactive dashboards and visualizations using business intelligence tools such as Qlik Sense to communicate insights to stakeholders
